As well as teaching Art (2 days a week) to GCSE level in a small private school,Tony runs several adult drawing and painting classes.
These are as follows- (Autumn term 2009)
A private class in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire. This meets on Friday mornings between 10 and12 am.
It is a well established class with some long term members but is truly open to all abilities and levels of experience.
Various still life groups and natural objects are provided along with photographic examples of landscape, flowers etc.
Some members bring there own work in to develop with help and advice. Tuition and encouragement are given as needed
and a wide range of materials are used according to members interests, typically watercolour, acrylics, oils, pastels.

Tony also gives demonstrations and runs workshops for Art societies, mostly in the SE of England.

WORKSHOPS
Workshops are typically for 1 day, say 10 am to 4 pm. They start with a small demonstration and then members are
encouraged to to more than one study in the agreed style.

PASTEL DEMONSTRATIONS

done on a canvas panel that had been treated with blue and brown pastel, well fixed with hair spray.
No photo of the final result, but the work was bought by the model!

The above pastel studies are two early stages of a picture, done on a canvas panel, on the theme of Life in India. They were
taken during a demonstration to an Art Society. The first one shows a tonal study in blue and white with a little colour added.
Stage 2, whilst incomplete, shows how colours can be built up as the work develops.
