Mother and Child (UK)

IIMC(UK) exists solely to raise funds for the Institute for Indian Mother and Child in India, a non-governmental organization that is committed to promoting maternal and child health in the villages of the Sonarpur area, 30km south of Calcutta. It provides the local villagers with free health care, basic children’s education and the chance to benefit from many community development initiatives. The I.I.M.C. was started in 1989 by Dr. Sujit Kumar Brahmochary, a specialist in paediatrics.
